The mobile communication revolution, which started couple of decades ago, changed the world for good.  By now, at least every other inhabitant of the Earth consideres a mobile device in the pocket as natural as rest of the daily clothing.  And within the industrial world, basically everybody considers ones “human right” to be able to access voice/data services where ever, when ever.

Given that a Finnish corporation was one of the key catalyzers of the previous revolution (and became the leading mobile phone supplier), it is actually quite natural that the next step was likewise taken by a local enterprise, PowerKiss.  For a couple of years, we have been fulfilling the universal “wire-free dream” by turning existing surfaces on public locations into elements of ubiquitous wireless power infrastructure.  It has been a pleasure to notice our work is highly appreciated; besides of getting always connected, the mobile device users shouldn’t need to worry of running out of power, even and ESPECIALLY while on the move.

PowerKiss is no longer the only acting dreamer: almost 100 corporations have been collected under umbrella of the Wireless Power Consortium.  It has been quite rewarding but also truly challenging to be a pioneer within an emerging industry segment.  We embrace our current mode of operation, that of being one of the key contributors within WPC.  Let the wire-free dream become true via collaboration towards a common goal!
